Mar 21, 2014 - An excellent example of a 'cost no object' enterprise by the Teac. Metal Tape Capabılity Manual Tape Type Selection Operation Timer. ARCAM DELTA 70.2. DAC d/a converter: Philips TDA1541-S1 (Single Crown). CD Mechanism: Philips CDM-4/11 / CDM-4/31.
My 2 cents here: Teac still distributes spare parts for most of its models. If it is only a belt (or all belts), you have several options: - Try a Teac authorized service center in Europe. There are two trusted ones, Sinnl&Hanten GmbH in Vienna, Austria () and Triplex GmbH in Germany.
- You can also try an eBay vendor known as revox_de. Their belts are aftermarket belts, possibly generic and inferior to the ones offered by Teac, but still an option. The Z-5000 is an excellent machine many of us still dreaming about. It is certainly worth restoring to its original state. Best of luck in doing so! Regards Nick. So far in the world there are 4 aluminum ones out there that I have hand made with the use of the broken part.
I don't suspect that these aluminum ones will ever break. It is also good to make sure the pot is a loose as possible- there is no reason to have a resistance in that pot as no hand will ever touch it except when you do maintenance. The bely can be a 6.5 to 6,7 inch square of round belt. I have had on a couple occasions had to change the cam motor due to it making noise. I think most of them were on the V770 unit though.
